Vintage Typewriter

WELCOME

Ty Tzavrinou moves between worlds—artist, author, freelance writer, and poet—shaping language and image into vessels of meaning. With a background in fashion, art, and history (BA in Fashion Design, Communication & Textiles, and an MA in History), Ty’s journey has always been one of weaving: fabric into form, words into story, spirit into matter.

This blog is a space for raw vulnerability, self-discovery, and life’s idiosyncrasies—captured in writing that is layered, honest, and unapologetically human.

About

Ty Tzavrinou is an intersectional creative: a writer, author, poet, artist, amateur photographer, fashion designer, textiles designer, and a once-upon-a-time burlesque and belly dancer. With an insatiable inquisitiveness and passion for adventure, Ty has traveled the world exploring the curious, unfamiliar, peculiar, and the unknown, broadening her knowledge of the world beyond her window. It’s those adventures that have often ended up in her biographical paperbacks: Twelve Seasons, Laundry, SHE, and Soup.

British-born, Ty Tzavrinou moved to the United States after a whirlwind romance with her American Vet. Eleven years later, Ty and her wife added to their family by adopting an ever-so-naughty, but adorable, puppy called Nemesis. Activist, feminist, and women’s rights artist and writer, Ty is never shy about sharing her beliefs or visions for the future.
